Using Advisedly

Educational content and tools

The articles, guides, calculators and local information on Advisedly are for general information and education. They do not provide personal financial, investment, pension, mortgage, insurance, tax or legal advice.

Reading a guide, using a calculator or checking a Register record does not create an adviser-client relationship with Advisedly. The information is not a recommendation to buy, sell, transfer, hold or change a financial product, or to follow a particular tax or legal strategy.

General information cannot account for your full circumstances. Obtain appropriate professional advice before making a decision that requires a personal assessment.

Enquiry review and introductions

Advisedly reads your enquiry to understand the help you need and how you would like to meet an adviser. We do not assess whether a financial product or decision is right for you.

Submitting the form sends your answers and contact details to Advisedly. It does not reserve an adviser, guarantee an introduction or create an adviser-client relationship. Your details are not automatically sent to an adviser when you submit.

When you request an introduction, Advisedly may share your contact details and enquiry answers with the financial advice firm it selects. The firm may contact you by phone or email about your enquiry. You decide whether to use its services.

We aim to confirm that we have received your enquiry within one working day and update you on the next step within two working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. These are response targets, not a guarantee of an introduction within that time. If we cannot help with your enquiry, we will let you know.

Advice from a separate adviser or firm

Any personal advice is provided by the adviser or firm you choose, under a separate agreement with them. That adviser or firm is responsible for its assessment, recommendations, services and charges.

Before choosing a firm, check its identity, what it is authorised to do, its experience, services and fees. An introduction is not a recommendation about a financial product, and we do not make investment decisions or carry out transactions on your behalf.

No guarantee of a match or outcome

Whether an introduction can be offered depends on your requirements and an adviser's services, availability and willingness to accept the enquiry. We cannot guarantee that a firm will accept you as a client or that advice will achieve a particular outcome.

Advisedly does not currently publish adviser profiles or automated adviser rankings. An introduction does not endorse a firm or replace your own decision about whom to engage.

Fee illustrations

Calculators use the inputs and assumptions shown alongside them. Results are illustrations, not quotations, forecasts or a statement of what you should pay. Other charges, changes in asset values and changes to a fee schedule may affect the actual cost.

A named adviser's price is published only when supplied and confirmed by that adviser or verified from the firm's own public material. Confirm the current service and total charges directly with the firm. Read how we explain fees.

Regulatory information

The checker retrieves information from the FCA Financial Services Register, but you should still open the linked official record and verify important information with the relevant firm before acting. Regulatory status is not an endorsement, suitability assessment or guarantee.

A firm's entry on the Register does not mean it has permission for every activity. Use the official contact details and check the permissions relevant to the service you need. Advisedly is not the FCA and is not responsible for the content of the official Register.

Consumer and adviser charges

Consumers can use Advisedly's information, tools and enquiry service without paying Advisedly. An adviser may charge for its own services; agree those charges with the adviser before proceeding.

We do not currently charge advisers to take part or receive introductions. If this changes, we will publish the charges, terms and relevant information before they begin. Payment will not change an official regulatory record or an editorial explanation.

Your submissions

Provide information that is accurate and belongs to you. Do not submit account numbers, passwords, identity documents, unlawful content or another person’s contact details without authority. Enquiry information is handled as described in the privacy notice.

Requesting an introduction does not sign you up for marketing. Advisedly marketing emails are a separate, optional choice. You can withdraw that choice, withdraw your enquiry or request its deletion using the process in the privacy notice.

Accuracy, updates and external sources

We aim to keep information accurate and explain its source, date and limitations. Laws, tax rules, prices and Register entries can change. Check the current official source and obtain appropriate advice before relying on information for a personal decision.

Links to other websites provide a route to further information. Their providers control their content, availability and terms. Our editorial standards explain how we research and update our own content.

Availability and acceptable use

Features can be unavailable, delayed or changed while the service develops. Do not interfere with the site, bypass security controls, submit automated abuse, scrape personal data at scale or use Advisedly to impersonate another person or organisation.

Your rights and changes to these terms

These terms do not remove any consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. An adviser's terms apply separately to the services you agree with that adviser.

We may update these terms when the website, enquiry service or relevant requirements change. The date below identifies this version. Your introduction request covers sharing with a firm selected to respond to that enquiry. It does not authorise unrelated uses or marketing. Earlier enquiries retain the permissions recorded when they were submitted.
